Fashioned after the original Macallan 1951, this select single malt was created through a series of samples taken from the aforementioned bottle - with the goal of replicating the taste, aroma, and packaging. Collaborating with glassmaker Stoelzle Flaconnage to reproduce the irregularities of hand-blown, mid-19th century glass bottles of that era, The Macallan 1851 Inspiration is a bespoke collector's whisky housed in an emerald green, pitted-glass decanter - beautifully illustrating the mastery of the Macallan, both then, and now. A limited-release bottle at 41.3% ABV (82.6-proof), this prolific single malt features aromatic notes of sandalwood, cream, honey, and citrus, complimenting the palate of jasmine, essential oils, vanilla, and island fruits.
